About Damien

“I feel energized and happy after!  Like instant “yoga” class in one adjustment." -Beth

DamienMy name is Dr. Damien Ciasullo. This brief biography page will give you some of my background, and well as convey my passion for Chiropractic, and devotion to serving you. I grew up fifteen minutes from Mt. Airy as the youngest of six children. I attended the University of Scranton where I earned a BS in Biology with a minor in Philosophy. From there I attended Chiropractic School at Life University in Marietta, GA. During my time at Life University, in addition to the regular curriculum, I participated in two clinical programs. The first was a HIV/Chiropractic Clinical research study, and the second was a program allowing injured Vietnam War Veterans to receive free Chiropractic care at the University Clinic.

Upon graduating from Life University, I earned an advanced certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics from the I.C.P.A. (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association www.ICPA4kids.org) I regularly participate in advanced classes in pursuit of my diplomate degree in Chiropractic Pediatrics. Part of my study is in using the Webster Technique for in-utero constraint. This technique is essential in detecting in-utero constraint, during pregnancy. The technique seeks to minimize stress in the pelvis, with the potential for both an easier birth, and improved fetal positioning.

I have been in practice Chiropractic since 2001. I had been working in Montgomery County but I had always wanted to come to Mt. Airy. I love the area for its diversity and style. In 2005 I was able to buy the office building at 6809 Germantown Avenue and rehabilitate it to a more community friendly place.

I opened Rhino Chiropractic Center in September of 2005. The office is truly the expression of my Chiropractic vision, which is to offer a wellness based approach to health, through Chiropractic. I hope you feel two things when you first enter the office. First, a warm, friendly, non-clinical environment, and second an educational, engaging atmosphere where you feel comfortable participating in your care, so you get the most out of our time together.

A doctor of Chiropractic seeks to detect and correct spinal misalignments that cause stress on the nervous system, and therefore decreased performance of the body. I work with patients, young and old, to ensure that their nervous system works to its greatest potential. The goal is to improve overall health, not simply remove symptoms.
The youngest patient in the office is a few days old and the oldest is eighty-seven.

My first chiropractic experience was when I was 10 days old and I have had my spine checked regularly ever since. I love being in Mt. Airy and I look forward to serving you.
