Do you take my insurance? – Rhino Chiropractic – Mt. Airy, Germantown, Chestnut Hill PA

This is one of the most common initial questions I we get on the telephone or when people hear that I am a Chiropractor.  You might be surprised to learn that almost everyone who comes to my office has health insurance but noone uses it.  The landscape of insurance in healthcare has changed greatly in the last decade.  Copays, deductibles, the need for referrals have all gone up.  Greater restraints are being placed on a system that is already under a great deal of strain.

Practitioners (in all disciplines) are discovering ways to make their care affordable and accessible to the communities they serve.  Every month there are new articles popping up like this one from an MD in Maine who has stopped taking insurance.  This concept may seem scary or uncomfortable at first, but believe me when I say it is a great idea that will help to bring healthcare costs down.

In the world of Chiropractic there is a new movement toward what many are calling a “Membership Practice”.  I am aware of over 300 such offices on four continents that offer a reasonable monthly (or weekly) fee for regular Chiropractic care.  When you investigate the prices, they seem almost unbelievable.  These offices are dedicated to providing convenient, affordable care, that does not sacrifice quality.  Top notch care without false limitations set by the insurance industry may seem unbelievable or a fad, but it is a glimpse of the future of healthcare. (note: many of these offices will accept HSA or FSA as they are personal accounts)

Here is one list I found showing some offices that offer “Membership” Chiropractic care. Click here for a map
